Overview

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Specialist to support the expansion of the UNIQLO business in Germany. The person in this role will contribute to the development and the execution of the marketing strategy for UNIQLO in Germany, including promoting the UNIQLO brand and our LifeWear concept in accordance with the EU marketing plan and the global marketing direction.

You will be based in our Berlin head office and report to the Country Brand Manager.

What you will be responsible for
  • Building and executing the marketing strategy for UNIQLO Germany together with the wider Brand Marketing team, at both a local and Europe level
  • Providing strategic support in the seasonal marketing plan and long-term activations, managing strategic projects aligned with company’s objectives
  • Planning, coordinating and executing marketing events (store opening events, customer in-store activations, brand/product experiences, sustainability events, influencer events, live-streaming) in close collaboration with the marketing, sustainability and stores teams
  • Conducting a detailed analysis of campaigns, track sales and create weekly Marketing/PR reports, share in cross-functional meetings to help adjust strategies
  • Understanding Global and European assets and select as well as adapt them to local channels
  • Taking ownership of the creation of media plans (out of home, magazines, print ads, etc) including leading the creative, media and production agencies
  • Identifying and developing partnerships with external partners (local businesses, communities, creators, key opinion leaders, artists, brands etc.) to support campaigns, RE.UNIQLO studio, UTme! and grow regional brand awareness
  • Coordinating and managing retail marketing activations and be the main point of contact for UNIQLO Germany stores (e.g., styling, installations, windows, sometimes via local partnerships)
  • Building cross functional collaboration, especially digital marketing, store operations, visual merchandising, sustainability, other EU countries and global marketing teams
Skills, Experience and Attributes
  • Bachelor's in business, Marketing, Communication or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing, in consumer lifestyle or fashion apparel brands
  • Experience working in or with international brands
  • Experience working between local and global teams
  • Experience across traditional and new media
  • Experience working with influencers
  • Affinity with sustainability is a plus
  • Fluent in both English and German is essential
  • Good project manager with attention to detail, very deadline oriented while maintaining the ability to work flexibly in a fast-moving work environment
  • A self-starter, able to work both independently and in collaboration with other functions to achieve the company’s goals
  • Strong writing and creative skills with the ability of finding new ways to connect and express brand values and characteristics
  • Ability to read sales data and google analytics and draw conclusions/write summaries
  • Digital competences with a good understanding of the relevant social media channels established and upcoming
  • Eager to learn and willing to take on additional responsibilities
  • Open to monthly travel
