Lead Software Engineer (m/f/d) – FEV etamax GmbH

FEV etamax GmbH is a growing technology company specialising in safety‑critical software and systems. We support leading customers in aerospace, transportation and automotive industries.

Qualifications
  • Completed a degree or similar education in computer science or information technology.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Broad technology stack experience – object‑oriented programming, scripting languages and embedded software development.
  • Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Strong awareness of quality assurance and ability to maintain high software standards.
  • Solid understanding of test automation; GUI test automation experience is a plus.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Agile mindset and creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication in English; German language skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and understand the scope and use case of complex software applications.
  • Analyse software requirements and interface documentation, then design the appropriate architecture.
  • Implement and integrate software for distributed systems.
  • Automate the entire software engineering process following the DevOps approach with a special focus on test automation.
  • Ensure software quality through code reviews and tests at various levels.
  • Coordinate technical aspects within the team and work closely with customers, following agile and safety‑critical standards.
