Join us to make education accessible for all!

Strengthen our Quality Operations Team in full-time (40 hrs./week) as Lead Quality Operations Analyst (m/f/d).

This position is available as a full-time role at our IU office locations or remotely (must reside in Germany or the UK).

In this role, you’ll build and lead a new Quality Operations function from the ground up—owning defect reduction, operational resilience, and systemic quality improvements across our student-facing platforms. You’ll partner closely with senior leadership, engineering, and operations to challenge existing processes and redesign how quality is embedded at scale.

  • Build and lead a new Quality Operations team, defining standards, methodologies, and ways of working
  • Drive systematic defect reduction through deep audits of operational and technical processes
  • Lead complex investigations into system defects, operational incidents, and process failures across platforms and integrations (including CARE/Simovative)
  • Analyse complex data patterns and system behaviours to identify root causes and preventative actions
  • Design and implement simplified, student-focused processes that reduce friction and operational risk
  • Establish and own quality metrics, KPIs, monitoring, and alerting for critical operational flows
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations to embed quality upstream in system and process design
  • Challenge assumptions and legacy processes constructively, advocating for better outcomes at all levels of the organisation
  • Present findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Your Profile
  • Proven experience leading quality, operations, or process-improvement initiatives in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Strong ownership mindset, comfortable operating autonomously on ambiguous, high-impact problems
  • Deep understanding of the German education sector, including academic systems, regulations, and operational requirements
  • Hands‑on experience with the CARE (Simovative) platform, including configuration, data management, and integration challenges
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including working with complex datasets and identifying systemic issues
  • Experience with incident management, root‑cause analysis, and risk mitigation methodologies
  • Solid understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data flows, with the ability to dive into technical detail when needed
  • Comfortable challenging existing approaches and influencing senior stakeholders with evidence‑based recommendations
  • Clear communicator, able to translate complex technical and operational topics for diverse audiences
