A forward-thinking tech company is seeking a Junior Finance & Operations Specialist to manage financial operations and ensure timely revenue collection. This role requires fluency in both German and English, an ability to automate tasks for efficiency, and a detail-oriented approach. You will be responsible for cash flow management, monthly financial closures, and overseeing both German and North American operations within a remote-first environment. Join a diverse team with a passion for technological advancement.
Our Luminerds need resources to build the future of the electronics supply chain, and our customers need a seamless experience when paying us. You sit right at that intersection.
As our Junior Finance & Operations Specialist, you keep our financial engine running. You ensure that money flows in efficiently through automations and that it flows out through all our Luminerds swiftly, efficiently, and correctly.
Start date: As soon as possible
Weekly hours: 80% - 100% (32 - 40 hours / week)
You ensure that every cent of revenue lands in our bank account. You manage the end-to-end flow — starting from revenue recognition, moving through our n8n automation, and ending with accurate Stripe invoicing and payment collection. You educate our customers to always pay on time and manage the collection process for overdue revenue, so that we never have to write off an invoice.
You manage our outgoing cash flow by paying our suppliers and collecting receipts. You ensure that our financial records are audit-proof. By paying on time and handling expenses smoothly, you keep our service providers and Luminerds happy with the Finance team.
You ensure a fast and accurate closing. At the beginning of the month, you provide fully prepared books and receipts to our tax accountant. Once the closing is done, this allows us to easily and accurately analyze our monthly revenue and costs.
You run our North American finance operations. You manage the processes for our US entity with the same diligence as for our German operations and integrate its accounting into real-time consolidated statements.
You automate your work to the largest degree possible. We aim for massive revenue growth, but try to keep our Finance team as lean and efficient as possible. Your contribution to this leverage is key: If a task is repetitive, your goal is to automate it. You’ll have the chance to learn automations, AI, and other clever tools.
Benedikt – our VP Operations, who leads our Finance and Legal teams directly, and oversees the People team
Sarah – our Finance & Operations Specialist, who manages payroll, leads our entire accounting process, and will be your main partner in day-to-day finance operations
Naima – our Legal Counsel and Business Operations Associate, who is in charge of all legal matters and is our interim North America Finance and Operations Specialist
Due to the nature of this particular role, fluency in 🇩🇪 German and 🇬🇧 English is a must. Any additional language is a plus.
Just so you know – apart from the language requirements, we purposefully don't create a standard list of qualifications for our roles. We care much more about your motivation and ability to create impact at Luminovo than just about your CV. If you're interested to find out more about why we banned requirements from our performance profiles – see here.
