Qualifikationen

• Berufserfahrung in der IT-Administration, idealerweise im Gesundheitswesen.

Overview

IT System Administrator (m/f/d) & Application Manager (m/f/d) with focus on hospital information system - IT and Medical Technology division (Clinical and Business Applications department) at University Hospital Magdeburg.

The University Hospital Magdeburg is an institution under public law (A.ö.R.) and, together with the Medical Faculty of Otto von Guericke University, represents UNIVERSITÄTSMEDIZIN MAGDEBURG. With around 1,100 beds in 27 clinics and 28 institutes and associated departments, it is the largest healthcare facility in northern Saxony-Anhalt and, in addition to research and teaching, offers the entire spectrum of multi-professional and highly specialized university maximum care.

Your Mission

You ensure that the heart of our university medicine – our hospital information system medico – beats reliably. With your expertise, you will ensure that patient data, clinical processes and administration interact smoothly. This enables doctors (m/f/d), nursing staff (m/f/d) and administrative teams to concentrate on the essentials: providing the best possible care for our patients (m/f/d).

Your Contribution

• You operate and maintain our hospital information system medico and keep it running.
• You are the interface between IT and everyday hospital life: you translate requirements from medicine and administration into technical solutions.
• You develop and maintain interfaces between HIS and subsystems - for a real data flow without media disruptions.
• You create reports and analyses that make everyday clinical decisions easier.
• You support system availability by being on call.

Your Profile

• A degree in (medical) informatics, business informatics or training in the IT sector - or you can convince us with a comparable background.
• Initial experience in IT administration, ideally in the healthcare sector.
• Enjoy understanding complex processes and translating them into smart IT solutions.
• You have knowledge of SQL (MS-SQL) - HL7, FHIR, REST or DICOM are a plus.
• Routine in dealing with Windows servers and common standard software.
• Very good knowledge of German and desire to work in a team.

Remuneration: You can expect a performance-related salary depending on the tasks assigned and fulfillment of the personal requirements up to pay grade E 11 according to the University Hospital Magdeburg A.ö.R. collective agreement.

Staffing: The position is to be filled from 01.10.2025, full-time (38.5 hours/week) or part-time and permanent.
