For our Global Head Office (GHO) in DHL eCommerce we are searching an IT SOLUTION ARCHITECT (M/F/X).

Permanent | Full-/ part time

DHL eCommerce (DeC), one of the divisions of DHL Group, is a world leader in both domestic and international parcel delivery in many countries around the globe, with growing business within and beyond borders.

We are looking for an IT Solution Architect to strengthen our team in the Global Head Office in Bonn (Germany), IT Operations and Cross Border. In this position the IT Solution Architect provides architecture guidance and design of new IT solutions or changes in existing IT solutions within IT projects continuous development pipelines. Furthermore, it is expected to trigger continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and continuous improvement in our existing IT application landscape.

This requires intensive collaboration with business departments and further stakeholders to analyze and prioritize customer requirements, driving technical innovation and leveraging a best-in-class IT solution, supporting business cases and other related requirement specifications.

Responsibilities

• You develop and design IT solution proposals within IT projects, continuous improvement initiatives in a worldwide logistics environment
• You align technical and functional requirements with the divisional strategy and integration best practices.
• You provide technical consultancy and quality assurance within IT projects in DHL eCommerce GHO IT
• You develop application specific roadmaps in alignment with all stakeholders.
• You operate proactive stakeholder management with business departments as well as internal and external IT suppliers.
• You align existing and new IT solutions with security and data protection standard SMEs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or comparable qualification
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience areas such as design, implementation, and maintenance of IT solutions
• Expert knowledge & experience in application integration scenarios with a focus on web services
  (e.g. SOAP), API’s (e.g. REST) and modular software architecture
• Expert knowledge in modernization of IT platforms, requirements engineering & software design patterns.
• Strong analytical skills and conceptual and creative thinking as well as initiative and solution orientation
• Effective communication and presentation skills within cross cultural teams in geographically distant locations
• Fast learning skills and ability to (proactively) analyze and discuss complex problems.
• Excellent English language (written and spoken), any experience in German language is welcome.
