Overview

Enzo is a B2B PropTech startup revolutionizing the real estate and insurance industry with its cutting‑edge IoT and AI solution. Our proprietary sensor technology monitors water systems in buildings in real‑time, enabling early detection of leaks and preventing costly water damage. Backed by significant funding and a rapidly growing customer base, Enzo is on a mission to protect properties while conserving one of our most vital resources – water.

Position

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. You’ll work closely with our CTO and co‑founder on the technical implementation of our product vision. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative IoT sensor technology and gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sensor Development: Design and develop electronic sensors to collect tap water data for identifying leaks in single and multi‑family residential buildings.
  • Firmware Development: Write and optimise firmware for microcontrollers, including the Nrf9160, to enable seamless integration with sensors and communication systems.
  • Data Transmission: Implement and enhance data transmission protocols using state‑of‑the‑art communication technologies, including LTE‑M and NB‑IoT.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Develop, test, and refine prototypes across a diverse portfolio of over 150 residential buildings to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Material Selection: Oversee material selection and create Bills of Materials (BOMs) using tools like KiCAD for efficient hardware production.
  • Programming: Develop software in Python for data‑related projects and microcontroller programming (e.g., ESP32, Nrf9160).
Who You Are
  • Innovative Problem Solver: You excel at thinking outside the box and addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Detail‑Oriented: You have a meticulous approach to managing and executing tasks efficiently.
  • Self‑Starter: You demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and a hands‑on mentality to drive projects forward independently.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Hardware Development, Physics, or a related field with 4 years of experience in hardware engineering and firmware development.
  • Circuit Development: Strong expertise in designing electronic circuits and firmware development, particularly for microcontrollers like the Nrf9160.
  • Firmware Skills: Proficient in C/C++ and experienced in developing firmware for embedded systems with hands‑on experience in Nrf9160‑based designs.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in KiCAD for PCB design and Python for data‑related or automation projects.
  • Adaptable: Eager to learn and contribute in a dynamic startup environment with the flexibility to adapt to evolving challenges.
Benefits
  • Dynamic Startup Culture: Be part of an innovative and collaborative team that values creativity, autonomy, and shared success.
  • Exposure: Work closely with Enzo’s CTO & co‑founder, gaining insights into hardware development and startup operations.
  • Meaningful Impact: Your contributions will directly influence the growth and success of our innovative IoT solutions.
  • Learning & Development: Gain hands‑on experience across various aspects of hardware engineering, IoT technologies, and data analysis.
  • Flexibility: Enjoy hybrid working arrangements with the possibility to work remotely.
  • Career Growth Opportunities: Join a fast‑growing company with clear paths for career advancement and personal development, including opportunities to take on leadership roles.

We look forward to getting to know you! Please send us your CV along with a brief motivation letter highlighting why you’re the perfect fit for this role and what excites you about joining our team.
