Your Role
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor mediation and advisory processes to ensure strict compliance with legal information, advisory, and documentation duties (in accordance with § 34d GewO and VersVermV).
  • Ensure all advisory workflows are consumer-friendly and meet regulatory transparency standards.
  • Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all insurance products linked to the ADAC portfolio (including travel insurance packages and Payment Protection Insurance - PPI).
  • Ensure relevant employees master specific feature sets and exclusions of these insurance products through regular training and knowledge checks.
  • Advisory Quality & Documentation:
    • Guarantee that the assessment of customer "needs and wishes" is properly conducted and documented for every relevant interaction, ensuring audit-proof records even for standardized bundled products.
    • Perform regular quality assurance reviews on advisory documentation.
  • Conflict of Interest Management:
    • Establish and monitor mechanisms to detect, avoid, and disclose potential conflicts of interest arising specifically from the combination of credit card products and insurance add-ons.
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with consumer protection regulations regarding bundling and cross-selling.
  • Continuing Education Management (IDD):
    • Ensure personal compliance with the mandatory annual continuing education requirement of 15 hours per calendar year.
    • Oversee and document the completion of these mandatory training hours for all relevant staff members involved in insurance distribution.
We'd love to see
  • Recognised proof of Sachkunde for insurance mediation/advice (as per §34d GewO and VersVermV/§5 VersVermV). You must meet one of the options below:
    • A) IHK Expert Exam Sachkundeprüfung (passed)
    • B) Equivalent qualification (§5 VersVermV) e.g. Versicherungsfachwirt, Kaufmann/frau für Versicherungen und Finanzanlagen, Fachwirt/in für Finanzberatung
    • C) Degree + experience, e.g. Business Admin (Banking/Insurance/Finance) / Financial Services Consultant + bank training and ≥1 year relevant experience
    • Maths/Economics/Law and ≥3 years relevant experience
    • D) Other qualification + experience, e.g. bank/savings bank clerk or investment fund clerk and ≥2 years relevant experience
  • Fluent in German (C2 - mandatory for legal documentation) and English (Business fluent)
  • Deep knowledge of the German Insurance Mediation Ordinance (VersVermV) and Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD).
  • Experience with credit card-linked insurance products (e.g., PPI, Travel).
  • Ability to interpret complex insurance regulations and translate them into operational processes.
  • Ability to explain complex insurance terms to non-expert staff and stakeholders.
  • High ethical standards regarding consumer protection and conflict management.
  • Identify regulatory risks in product bundles before they become issues.
