A well‑known Japanese manufacturer is looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive HR Administrator / Coordinator to support the overall human resources operations. This role is responsible for providing administrative assistance across a wide range of HR functions, including employee lifecycle management, record keeping, and expatriate support.

You will work closely under the direction of management and collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient HR processes.

TYPE: Full time, Permanent (6‑month probation period) | WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 40 hrs/week | SALARY: €45,000 to €50,000 dependant on experience | START: ASAP | LOCATION: Krefeld, Germany (Office based, but 1 day work from home can be applicable)

Key Responsibilities of the HR Administrator / Coordinator
  • Provide administrative support in all HR areas including recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, employee data management, and offboarding.
  • Maintain and update employee records in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR documents such as employment contracts, letters, reports, and HR‑related communications.
  • Support HR projects such as policy implementation, compliance reviews, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for day‑to‑day HR‑related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Provide full support to expatriate employees, including
    • Visa and work permit application/renewal coordination
    • Relocation assistance (housing, utilities, local registration)
    • Orientation and ongoing support during the assignment
    • Liaison with government agencies, relocation vendors, and internal departments
    • Help ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
    • Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and other HR‑related activities.
  • Support company events, meetings, and internal communications.
  • Manage general office administration, including office supplies, facility maintenance, and vendor management.
Ideal Candidates for the HR Administrator / Coordinator
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Understanding of Japanese is advantageous
  • 2+ years of experience in HR and/or general affairs administrative roles
  • Experience supporting expatriate staff is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
