An international early years education institution is seeking a Head/Pedagogical Director to lead a thriving Kindergarten in Neuss, Germany. The ideal candidate will have strong pedagogical leadership experience, preferably in international settings, and excellent communication skills. The role involves managing daily operations and engaging with the community to enhance the Kindergarten's reputation. A competitive compensation package is offered, and the position starts in April 2026.
ISR International School on the Rhine is seeking an Early Years specialist with maturity and commitment, a strong record of pedagogical leadership, and most likely with international experience (although candidates coming out of national systems, the UK in particular, may be appropriate if they can demonstrate the mindset and personality for a role in such an international environment). The incoming Head/Pedagogical Director will lead teaching and learning, as well as the day-to-day running, of a thriving Kindergarten of 110 pupils in a high-achieving, academically focused school.
ISR is distinctive among European international schools and focuses on academic achievement, preparing students for admission to top universities worldwide, and producing multilingual students with critical thinking, logical reasoning, and a love of learning. The school aims to be outward-facing and focused on being active and responsible global citizens, with results well above German and global averages.
The Head/Pedagogical Director will provide the strong and clear leadership required to enable the Kindergarten to maintain and build its profile in Düsseldorf. This includes leadership of teaching and learning and the day-to-day running of the Kindergarten, and it will be essential for admissions to the Kindergarten and for the seamless transition to the elementary schools when the Düsseldorf campus opens. The role will require engaging more widely in the community to enhance the Kindergarten’s public image and presence.
ISR will offer a highly competitive package. The position is to start April 2026 (or earlier).
