What the job looks like
Each day you’ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
Conduct and carry business decisions affecting the established medicines business as part of the cross-functional leadership team
Lead innovation in medical-scientific insights, and engagement efforts through digital / omnichannel solutions
Assume responsibility for medical evaluation of ‘build muscle’ M&A assets during due diligence procedures
Key pivotal role in maximizing the commercial potential of Est Medicines in prioritized partner-led markets, coordinating efforts and support towards all different needs of the PB team and leading all Est Medicines Medical Affairs matters.
Assume responsibility as Medical Lead for specific products/projects if needed
Act as line manager of the global established medicines medical affairs functions
Establishe a productive work environment by creating trust and respect and motivates and encourages accountability
Identifiy training and professional development needs of the global established medicines medical affairs team
Conduct budget planning and tracking for the global established medicines medical affairs team
What you’ll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
Significant matrix management experience and strong collaboration with key functions
Sound understanding of the specific environment of established medicines and the respective role of medical affairs
Leadership skills, including “leading without the line”
Drive innovation while remaining pragmatic and focused on priorities
Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to adapt
Ability to analyze, interpret and effectively communicate complex clinical data
Comprehensive knowledge of applicable legal & regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry
Ability to empower and recognize others and to identify and leverage team members strengths
MD or PhD in life sciences
+7 years medical affairs experience; ideally in established medicines and at global and market level
Experience working at the medical-marketing interface
Experience with digital/omnichannel communication
Experience with complex business environments and matrix organization
Experience in pain/CNS therapy areas is a plus
Fluency in Business English, additional language beneficial
