Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Legal to lead our legal function and provide strategic guidance across the business. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing all legal matters relating to project development, financing, construction, operations, and corporate governance.

The ideal candidate will be a solutions-oriented professional with at least 5+ years of post-qualification experience, capable of working in a fast-paced, international environment. This position offers the opportunity to shape the legal strategy of a high-growth renewable energy platform and work closely with senior leadership to support the company's ambitious global pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal advisor to senior management, providing guidance on all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including project development agreements, EPC and O&M contracts, joint ventures, financing documents, and corporate agreements.
• Oversee corporate governance, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and other stakeholders.
• Anticipate and mitigate potential legal risks, proposing practical solutions to enable business objectives.
• Support M&A activity, due diligence, and transaction structuring.
• Build and lead a small, agile legal team as required, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Key Requirements

• Law degree and qualification to practice in a relevant jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience, with experience in the energy or infrastructure sector.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, corporate law, and project development/finance structures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, business-focused mindset with the ability to balance risk with commercial objectives.
• Comfortable operating in an international, multicultural environment.
