As Head of Group Controlling of the Viessmann Generations Group, you will lead the strategic and operational alignment of controlling functions across the Holding and its subsidiaries. This is a high-impact opportunity to centralize cost management, harmonize steering processes, and drive performance transparency through next-generation reporting and BI frameworks. This is a high-impact opportunity to build and professionalize the group-wide controlling function within a dynamic investment holding. You will design a scalable controlling architecture that brings cost transparency, process consistency, and performance steering across both Holding and portfolio companies. Balancing strategic design with operational execution, you’ll define core governance standards, lead advanced reporting initiatives, and partner closely with leadership to make controlling a true driver of value.
Build and professionalize the group-wide controlling function, including core processes, policies, and steering frameworks
Define and implement harmonized controlling standards across entities, ensuring consistent workflows (budgeting, forecasting, approvals, KPI logic)
Lead the development of centralized cost management and strategic cost control initiatives across the group
Drive the setup and evolution of reporting and performance dashboards, integrating systems like SAP and Power BI
Act as a key sparring partner to senior leaders in Holding and portfolio companies, providing clarity and insight for executive decisions
Bring a strong affinity for technology and innovation in finance, with an interest in automation, modern finance tooling, and leveraging AI to further enhance efficiency and insight
10-15+ years of experience in group controlling, ideally within a holding, family-owned, or PE-backed structure
Business fluency in German and English
Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA), BI tools (e.g. Power BI), and financial modeling
Proven track record in designing and leading cross-entity controlling processes and cost management programs
Demonstrated success in driving finance transformation, implementing harmonized standards, and introducing modern finance tooling/automation
Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management experience across matrix environments
