A leading climate tech startup is looking for a Head of Engineering to lead an 8-person team. This role demands 5 years of TypeScript development experience and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include setting the strategic direction for the engineering department and driving innovation. Remote work is available within Germany, Portugal, or the UK, with a salary range of €80,000 to €145,000 based on experience. Comprehensive benefits include 27 vacation days and a learning budget.

In this unique role your mission is to take full leadership of the engineering department i.e. you take ownership for driving the strategic direction of the department in close collaboration with founders, shaping processes in the engineering department and company that ensure excellence of technical execution and lead the engineers with empathy, building an environment in which they can thrive.

This role can be fully remote within Germany, Portugal, or the UK. (Only 24 weeks per year are required in Berlin for onsite collaboration.)
80,000 – 145,000 per year (depending on experience and location).
