Status

10-40 hours a week (your preference) . Please only apply if you are able to work into the fall and / or beyond.

Target Pay

$17-20 / hr + tips (based on skills and experience)

Overview

Do you love gelato or coffee? Are you outgoing? Do you enjoy connecting with customers and exceeding their expectations? Read on. We’re seeking service team members to offer gelato recommendations, scoop dishes, make mind‑blowing coffee, meticulously clean at every opportunity, set up and take down the gelato displays, and, most importantly, brighten customers’ days. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of the front of our store, with a constant focus on making memorable experiences for our customers.

Minimum requirements

• One year of customer service experience preferred, but not required. A desire to work diligently in a fast‑paced environment and attention to customers’ needs is what we seek most.
• Be kind at all times. Show poise, presence, and professionalism.
• Must have a team‑oriented mindset.
• Being “coachable” is absolutely required.
• Must be a warm, friendly, and confident communicator.
• 18+ years preferred due to scheduling complexity, but skilled and enthusiastic 16-17 year‑old applicants can be considered.

Skills / abilities required

• Desire to scoop dishes, cones, and pints of the highest quality gelato and sorbetto with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate calmly and effectively with co‑workers and customers in a fast‑paced environment.
• Focus on delighting customers with engaged hospitality.
• Fully participate in the theater of our work, understanding how your actions “on stage” contribute to the experience of our customers.
• Ability to learn Gelato Fiasco's unique approach to customer service.
• Neat freaks and people who might be compulsive about cleaning are encouraged to apply.
