Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Affairs Professional seeking a new challenge where your impact is immediately visible. You will be an integral part of a small, motivated team with autonomy to define your approach and deliver results.

Ideal candidates are those who want to play a significant medical role within a country medical function while maintaining direct interactions with healthcare professionals. This role offers a chance to shape the organization and grow alongside the company as it evolves.

As a medical and scientific expert for Elzonris in Germany, you will contribute significantly to the execution of the approved indication BPDCN (blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm) with a cross-functional team and support pre-approval planning for additional indications in Hematology. You will collaborate closely with key external stakeholders and report directly to the Medical Lead Hematology Germany. Menarini Stemline is also exploring new approaches in Hematology, such as AML, MF, and Multiple Myeloma. A key aspect of this role is supporting the success of future clinical studies and drug development in Hematology.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Medical Lead Hematology Germany to establish a strong medical hematology presence in Germany.
  2. Work closely with the Medical Team and cross-functionally with Commercial, Sales, Market Access, Regulatory, and Compliance teams.
  3. Coordinate with the global and EMEA Elzonris teams to promote Elzonris in BPDCN and other disease areas.
  4. Partner with global Hematology teams to develop future approaches and expand drug development in Hematology.
  5. Build and manage relationships with key medical experts and opinion leaders in Germany related to hematological diseases relevant to Stemline and BPDCN. Develop and execute the KOL engagement plan.
  6. Drive strategy, including local Medical and Brand plans for BPDCN/Elzonris, and support future hematology portfolio strategies. Execute all local medical activities in collaboration with Medical Affairs Europe.
  7. Serve as the local medical and scientific expert for BPDCN and other disease areas where Elzonris is being developed.
  8. Provide internal and external training and support medical information requests related to BPDCN and other disease areas.
  9. Partner with Clinical Development and Operations to identify and collaborate with local opinion leaders, investigators, and clinical experts to support new indications.
  10. Develop research activities, including investigator-supported trials, aligned with global/EMEA strategies.
  11. Review promotional and non-promotional materials for compliance and accuracy.
  12. Lead and coordinate pre-launch and pre-reimbursement activities for new indications in Germany.
  13. Facilitate patient access programs where appropriate to address unmet medical needs.
  14. Provide medical expertise during regulatory and reimbursement approval processes in Germany.
  15. Ensure all pharmacovigilance and risk management activities comply with local and EU laws.
  16. Maintain legal and ethical standards in all medical activities according to SOPs and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Senior Medical Advisor/MSL with relevant experience.
  • Experience with product launches in Hematology is preferred.
  • Established network with key hematology experts in Germany is advantageous.
  • Doctorate degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with at least 5 years of industry experience.
  • Willing to travel approximately 50% of the time.
