The Team

Our Global Pricing & Market Access (PMA) team at Navlin is an international group that combines deep in-house expertise with real-time intelligence—from pricing and HTA updates to regulatory news—via Navlin’s industry-benchmark platform. We deliver strategic, well-informed recommendations on pricing and access for our clients using advanced price-management software and launch-sequence simulation tools (navlin.com). The team blends local market nuance with creative synergy and supports a flexible remote-working model with satellite offices in London, Berlin, and Milan. The team is rapidly expanding.

The Position

The Consultant, Global Pricing and Market Access will deliver client consultancy projects and manage project-related analytics, data and tools available through Navlin or dedicated secondary and primary research. The Consultant will ensure tasks are delivered on schedule with high quality and value expectations. The role focuses on research and analysis around pricing, market access launch strategy, competitor research, value-based pricing analyses, HTA, and related areas. The Consultant identifies client needs, implements robust strategic and data-driven solutions, and manages workload to prepare client deliverables. The Consultant may contribute to business development through proposals. Activities are executed under the guidance of an Engagement Manager, primarily remotely. The role is home office based, located in Germany, remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Our consultants deliver excellent business results through the project team. These results include:

  • Designing and executing client analyses and deliverables
  • Developing client reports and presentations and delivering findings to clients
  • Providing follow-up with clients after project deliverables to ensure satisfaction
  • Identifying strategic alternatives and project approaches to client questions and applying a solution-oriented approach to add client value
  • Developing intellectual property for use on future engagements
  • Expanding knowledge of consulting methodologies and life science know-how through on-the-job experience and training
  • Maintaining high attention to quality and detail with strong written and spoken English
  • Using PowerPoint and Excel skills to present information in compelling and creative ways (storytelling through data, insights, and slides)
  • Occasionally managing junior resources such as associate consultants or interns
  • Working effectively in a remote environment with limited face-to-face contact with team members and client counterparts
  • Working under supervision of a more senior team member with daily alignment on tasks
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The requirements below represent the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • B.S./B.A in a relevant field (life sciences or economic/managerial sciences, medical engineering)
  • 2-4 years of pharmaceutical/health industry-related experience and/or 2-4 years of management consulting experience
  • Understanding of life sciences business practices and client issues in specific segments
  • Strong conceptual, analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of the market research development process
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative market research skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to structure and use large amounts of data from multiple sources to answer business questions and make recommendations
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated self-awareness and accountability
  • Ability to lead and own personal projects
  • Ability to establish credibility with clients
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to ~10% of annual work time, mainly for off-site events
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, MPH)
  • Background in International Pricing and Market Access, analytics and modelling/forecasting is a plus
  • 2+ years of management consulting experience
