Role Overview :
The Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring contractors execute tasks efficiently, safely, and in an organized manner. They will coordinate with contractors before site visits, review work, ensure permit compliance, scope clarity, and on-site support arrangements. The role involves supervising daily activities, planning, and optimizing site operations to minimize downtime, increase efficiency, meet deadlines, and control costs. Support will be provided remotely by a center of excellence with specialist resources available as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead on-site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project objectives.
- Promote a safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSSE standards.
- Manage contractor interfaces, performance, and coordination meetings.
- Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring schedule, safety, quality, and environmental standards are met.
- Assist in project planning, including methodology, schedule, and cost considerations.
- Coordinate design communication and work package development with contractors and stakeholders.
- Oversee contractor performance, safety, quality, and compliance expectations.
- Contribute to procurement strategy, scope definition, and contractor evaluations.
- Monitor performance metrics, develop reports, and ensure timely updates.
- Facilitate meetings, reviews, and planning sessions.
- Ensure permitting, safety documentation, and readiness activities are completed before mobilization.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical queries.
- Support commissioning and handover processes, including punch lists and documentation.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
- Manage permit-to-work processes and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with client operations for smooth execution and operational alignment.
- Identify lessons learned, promote continuous improvement, and uphold a culture of accountability and quality.
Required skills & experience :
- 10–15 years of experience in site construction supervision, asset management, and work pack coordination in industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Relevant trades qualification and/or engineering degree.
- Leadership skills to foster a collaborative, accountable, and motivated team environment.
- Strong HSSE awareness and leadership in high-risk settings.
- Deep understanding of project lifecycle, site readiness, planning, and quality delivery.
- Familiarity with contracting and procurement strategies, including evaluation and scope structuring.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience leading stakeholder discussions and conflict resolution.
- Proven stakeholder management with multidisciplinary teams.
- Skilled in document control, technical review, and safety documentation.
- Experience with commissioning, pre-start-up, and handover documentation and processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify and implement continuous improvements.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and intermediate in German.
