Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Focal Point for the Project Manager on all construction-related activities.
- Lead and manage QA / QC inspectors, including oversight of staffing, scheduling, and ensuring proper understanding of HSSE and quality requirements.
- Facilitate regular coordination meetings with inspection staff, contractor superintendents, and the project team to align on schedule, quality, and planning.
- Lead construction-related meetings, including SIMOPS, planning sessions, and contractor kick-off meetings.
- Monitor construction execution, verifying procedures, reviewing work packs, and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, execution plans, and quality standards.
- Provide input into Construction Execution Methodology Assessments (e.g., tank jack-up, complex lifts) for major works.
- Produce construction reports in line with approved frequency requirements.
- Manage the Project Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, including documentation and resolution tracking.
- Be fully conversant with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and permitting requirements for the project.
- Participate in Constructability Reviews and Construction Readiness Assessments to confirm HSSE plans, permit status, material deliveries, contractor preparedness, and site readiness prior to mobilization.
- Provide input to Construction Estimates and Schedule Development, and review short-term (e.g., 3-week look-ahead) contractor schedules and work plans.
- Coordinate with Local Operations and Craft Teams to ensure schedule alignment and work integration.
- Participate in HAZID meetings and onsite hazard recognition programs to ensure proactive risk management.
- Support and follow up on Construction Safety Audits and related actions.
- Review Contractor Invoices, Change Order Requests, and work documentation for completeness and accuracy before submission to the Project Manager.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the Project Budget, Basis of Estimate, and contract structure (e.g., fixed price, time & materials).
- Review and provide input to commissioning and startup procedures.
- Manage the Permit to Work (PTW) process to ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-years’ experience in Oil & Gas.
- Good Communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent HSSE Culture and familiar with quality systems.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Familiar with Welding Procedures Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
- Previous Supervisor Experience managing inspection staffs a plus.
- Experienced in controlling costs and measuring job progress.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Fluent German
