ABOUT BEAM

Beam is a Berlin-based startup company builder with a bias for (intra-)logistics and technical challenges. We are supported by BEUMER Group – a family business and one of the world’s leading intralogistics companies.

European logistics companies turn over more than €1,300B annually, making logistics the fourth largest industry in Europe. Startups are only beginning to scratch the surface of the transformation made possible by applying software to business problems, and Beam is a part of this change.

We are looking for a commercial co-founder to join one of our pre-seed startups, building a home for the trade of used industrial machinery in Europe, with a strong focus on exporting to international markets.

The solution we have in mind :

A trusted, export-ready platform that connects decommissioned machinery in Europe with refurbishers and buyers in local and international markets

An easy way to log, assess, sell, and relocate machines by connecting the right partners, from the first decommission decision through to installation at the new site.

A lean, asset-light setup where we coordinate OEMs, operators, and refurbishers, without owning the machines ourselves.

YOU'LL BE THE PERFECT MATCH IF

Have hands-on experience in B2B sales and partnership building, especially when multiple companies need to align on how to work together and share value.

You have built your own business in the past, or you have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong leadership mindset.

You are driven. Nothing slows you down once or discourages you from picking yourself up after facing a challenge.

You have an extensive network in logistics or supply chain.

You want to be part of building something special - together with us.

Bring strong legal or financial experience and can confidently navigate complex, cross-border, multi-party deals.

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

Engage with your role as co-founder and build the company on its way from zero to one.

Build and lead Sales and Finance, incl. further fundraising, business model refinement, and pricing strategy design.

Be part of our success story and support us in implementing structures and processes and hiring an all-star team!

Validate and sharpen our initial focus segment (industry, machine type, export corridor) through direct conversations with OEMs, operators and refurbishers.

Secure the first anchor partners on each side of the marketplace and turn them into pilot customers with clear commercial value.
