A leading automotive company in Berlin is seeking a Client Engagement Manager to enhance participation in key industry events. This role involves managing relationships with trade associations, preparing presentation materials, and evaluating event outcomes. Role Purpose
This role of Client Engagement Manager - Sponsoring and Partnerships ensures that mobile.de is strategically and professionally represented at key external industry events, conferences, and trade gatherings. It combines strategic partnership management, event management, content preparation, and operational execution to create visibility, credibility, and measurable impact within the automotive ecosystem.
A key focus of this role is the management of relationships and collaborations with industry associations, federations, and institutions. These partnerships form the backbone of mobile.de’s engagement in the trade environment. The role is responsible for identifying, initiating, and executing joint activities – from workshops to joint events – that strengthen mobile.de’s positioning as a trusted and active industry partner.
At the same time, this person works closely with Sales and cross-functional teams such as PR, Marketing, Business Development and Product to prepare presentations, speaking content, and messaging for events, ensuring every appearance reflects our strategy and supports our commercial objectives.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role: one that requires a deep understanding of the automotive ecosystem, a structured approach to project management, and a passion for connecting business priorities with industry impact.
Plan, manage, and execute mobile.de’s participation in key German automotive trade events, including conferences, association gatherings, and award shows.
Own all sponsorships and external event engagements end to end – from planning and preparation to on-site coordination and post-event evaluation.
Work closely with Sales leadership and subject-matter experts to prepare presentation materials, talking points, and speaking content for external events.
Ensure all content is strategically aligned, relevant to the audience, and reflects mobile.de’s positioning in the trade.
Coordinate with Marketing and Communications on brand consistency and messaging.
Act as the primary contact for automotive trade associations, federations, and partner institutions.
Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships that support mobile.de’s role as an engaged and credible industry player.
Identify opportunities for joint initiatives or collaborations that create mutual value.
Maintain a central calendar of all upcoming trade events, sponsorships, internal mobile.de events and partnerships, ensuring visibility and internal alignment.
Coordinate with Sales, Marketing and Leadership to ensure that priorities, speakers, and resources are aligned.
Brief internal stakeholders ahead of events and ensure they are well-prepared and equipped with relevant insights.
Manage logistics, materials, branding, and on-site presence to ensure professional representation.
Gather feedback, measure outcomes, and report on event and partnership impact.
Continuously identify ways to improve future engagements and increase ROI.
5+ years of experience in automotive industry roles, ideally in sales programs, partnerships, events, or trade marketing.
Deep understanding of the German automotive trade ecosystem – including dealer structures, associations, and market dynamics.
Ability to translate business goals into relevant event strategies and partnership activities.
Experience preparing or shaping sales presentations, narratives, or panel content for external audiences.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Hands-on approach with attention to detail and commitment to professional delivery.
Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders, association leaders, and event organizers.
Collaborative mindset – able to connect Sales, Marketing, and Leadership around shared objectives.
Fluent in German (written and spoken)
