The Opportunity
This is a rare chance to shape the people and talent agenda of a dynamic, scaling business. The CHRO will play a key role in shaping the company’s transformation and driving the development of HR structures, talent strategies, and leadership culture. You will be part of the leadership team and act as a sparring partner to both the international senior management and the private equity shareholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a forward-looking HR strategy aligned with the company’s overall strategy
- Build and scale modern HR processes and systems in a growth-driven environment
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle: Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits
- Overall responsibility for both internal employees and external staff deployed at client sites (e.g., project-based or covered by collective agreements)
- Ensure compliance with and further development of collective bargaining agreements and employment law requirements
- Build and optimize processes for managing these workforce groups
- Coordinate and handle labour law matters and legal cases in close cooperation with internal and external partners
- Actively contribute to cultural transformation, including change management initiatives
- Implement and support leadership development programs
- Collaborate on project-related topics with international management and representatives of the private equity investor
- Foster a performance-driven, inclusive, and resilient corporate culture
- Lead and develop a 15-person HR team (including internal HR business partners and external HR service providers)
- Oversee all labour law, compliance, and data protection matters within the HR function
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in a senior HR leadership role, ideally as CHRO or VP HR in a fast-growing service company
- Extensive knowledge of German labour law and employee participation under the Works Constitution Act
- Proven experience in transformation processes and change management
- Familiarity with PE-backed companies and their specific requirements (data-driven decision-making, fast execution, understanding of KPIs, value creation plans, commercial mindset, etc.)
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution and operational pragmatism
- Experience managing heterogeneous workforce groups (internal and external employees)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with convincing stakeholder management and the ability to "build bridges"
- Fluent in German & English (international working environment)
Location
Based in Bavaria, with a hybrid model requiring at least two days per week on-site and regular travel.
