CFO – Private Equity Firm – Frankfurt

Pearse are excited to be working exclusively with an early stage Private Equity firm to find their first internal CFO. Founded by a serial entrepreneur who has successfully exited multiple times to PE, and a seasoned Private Equity investor, they are now looking for a CFO to join as a key member of their leadership team as they continue to build their Business Services focussed fund.

The role:

The business is looking for an experienced finance leader, to work closely with their Managing Partners and join the Board, managing finance and accounting as well as leading on strategic finance and supporting their portfolio companies as they continue to scale.

  • Responsible for the firms accounting and finance operations at fund level, including leading on the consolidation process
  • Managing their audit process
  • Maintain robust financial controls and reporting processes
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across the businesses to deliver on budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of regulatory returns and compliance (BaFin)
  • Investor reporting (including valuations reporting and presenting)
  • Provide strategic insights at board level to support long-term strategic decision making
  • Support with future fundraising
  • Opportunity to work closely with the Managing Partners on new strategic investment opportunities
  • Cash flow management/forecasting
  • Identifying performance gaps and areas for potential improvement
  • Continuous process improvement and automation to enable scale
Qualifications
  • Fully Qualified Accountant
  • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and be hands-on across finance
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work well with as well as challenge senior stakeholders
  • Previous experience in an accounting practice (fund audit) or directly in another fund
