We're seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth and establish Massive Bio as the leading clinical trial enrollment platform in Germany. This is a high-impact role focused on revenue generation, market penetration, and building sustainable business relationships in one of Europe's most critical healthcare markets.
Drive revenue growth through strategic client acquisition and expansion of existing pharmaceutical and biotech partnerships
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Massive Bio's clinical trial enrollment platform
Build and manage sales pipeline with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and research institutions
Achieve aggressive revenue targets while maintaining high client satisfaction and retention rates
Identify, prospect, and convert high-value clients including Big Pharma, emerging biotechs, and specialty pharmaceutical companies
Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations to C-level executives and research teams
Negotiate complex service agreements and partnership terms with legal and procurement teams
Manage key account relationships ensuring successful trial launches and ongoing satisfaction
Analyze competitive landscape and market opportunities in German oncology clinical trials space
Provide market feedback to product development and clinical operations teams
Identify emerging trends in patient recruitment, regulatory requirements, and pharmaceutical R&D priorities
Develop pricing strategies and service packages tailored to German market needs
Partner closely with Clinical Operations team to ensure seamless client onboarding and trial execution
Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation campaigns and thought leadership content
Work with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all agreements meet German regulatory standards
Provide regular forecasting and pipeline updates to executive leadership
5-8 years in business development, sales, or commercial roles within healthcare, life sciences, or medical technology
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and building client relationships in B2B healthcare sales
Experience selling to pharmaceutical companies or healthcare institutions, understanding complex decision-making processes
Knowledge of clinical trials landscape - patient recruitment, regulatory environment, or research operations
Experience at CROs (Contract Research Organizations), pharmaceutical services companies, or health technology platforms
Background in oncology, rare diseases, or specialized therapeutic areas
Previous roles in business development at startups or high-growth technology companies
Understanding of German healthcare system and regulatory environment
Sales excellence with documented success in complex, consultative sales cycles
Relationship building skills with ability to engage senior executives and research professionals
Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution and results orientation
Communication skills for presenting complex solutions and building consensus across stakeholder groups
Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced, evolving market environment
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field
MBA or advanced degree preferred for senior commercial roles
