As a Brand Trainer Team Lead (m/w/d), you will manage, engage and develop the team of Brand Trainers in the North East area (Germany, Austria). Plan and optimize BT activity in your region following the company priorities on a seasonal basis. You will also lead Brand Trainer seasonal meetings to equip the BT Team for each season go-to-market. The Brand Trainer Team Lead (BTTL) will participate in alignment meetings to share best practices and discuss ideas with colleagues from other areas to keep developing BT activities across Europe.

As a Brand Trainer Team Lead you will be the main point of contact for requests from Categories and Commercial leads in your country/area.

Reporting to our Head of Marketing (North East), as part of the role you’ll:

Responsibilities
  • Support the team of Brand Trainers (BT) in fulfilling the activity plan agreed with Categories and Commercial teams in your country/area.
  • Coordinate, engage and develop the BT team in your country/area, including accompanying BT during activities to provide feedback and help them improve their performance.
  • Performance review and goals setting: two performance reviews per year to discuss competency development and actual performance versus goals (aligned with Head of Brand Training needs).
  • Support the creation of training tools and other resources to best equip the BT team.
  • Review geographic coverage across your country/area to efficiently support prioritized wins with wholesale customers and our own Retail staff.
  • Report on agreed KPIs, dashboards and summaries including market insights (consumers, competitors, retailers, own staff).
  • Prepare seasonal meetings to update and equip the BT Team.
  • Hold regular catch-ups with the Head of Brand Training and with the BT team to ensure follow-up and permanent tracking of activities.
  • Stay up to date with required knowledge to support and, when needed, cover BT team activities.
  • Planning and problem solving.
  • Coaching skills and ability to create a positive atmosphere and rapport with others.
  • Flexibility, engagement, and strong communication skills in English plus the local language.
  • Open to giving and receiving feedback; willingness to continuous learning.
Required Experience
  • More than 3 years of experience in a similar role (experience coordinating or managing a team is a must).
  • Learning and teaching skills.
  • Focused and proactive.
  • Studies: Higher education, bachelor degree or degree in Sport Science and Physical Activity or Business Administration.

What we’re looking for
  • Track record in a retail or marketing/sales environment (similar position in a different field or experience from other parts of retail).
  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree or higher vocational education.
  • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written).
  • Driving licence (B) and willingness to travel.
  • Confident presentation and communication abilities.
  • Flexibility to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Living in the Cologne / Düsseldorf area (office in Neuss should be reachable on a daily basis).
