Overview

Your tasks:

  • Manage, optimize, and extend our nanopore sequencing workflows for intra-operative diagnostic use.
  • Develop novel computational approaches at the forefront of long-read sequencing technologies.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of real-time sequencing analyses into patient care and intra-operative decision-making.
  • Prepare scientific publications and present our advances at international conferences.
Profile
  • A degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field. Applications on various entry levels are welcome. This can also be a great postdoctoral opportunity.
  • Experience with genomics analysis pipelines, ideally including familiarity with long-read sequencing data from Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and results-oriented mindset.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Awareness of the clinical relevance of the work.
