Job Description

As a New Business Development Manager, you’ll be the first person on the ground for Appcoach in Germany, leveraging your existing relationships with direct clients and your expertise in the advertising ecosystem to evangelise and shape our presence in Germany & wider EMEA, becoming a crucial member of the Appcoach EMEA team. You will close highly impactful partnerships which will be crucial to the success of Appcoach and you will gain priceless expertise in one of the most lucrative but underdeveloped mobile markets. Clients will look to you for consultative advice as they approach the task of ‘going to Asia’.

Please note this is a home-based/remote working role reporting into the Head of Demand based in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage existing direct client contacts to sell mobile advertising campaigns in Asia across all channels
  • Reach and exceed monthly & quarterly targets as agreed with the Head of Demand (based in London)
  • Develop and nurture new client relationships
  • Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline to ensure revenue targets are met
  • Work with internal teams to customise client strategy and deliver success
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to gather new leads and assess market trends
  • Identify client concerns and work with internal teams to provide solutions
  • Develop a deep understanding of the mobile industry, potential in Asia and knowledge of our competitors
  • Assist in shaping the future direction of the German business
  • Frequent travel across EMEA & UK for client meetings and events
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years’ experience selling mobile advertising services into direct clients, working for a mobile performance network or agency: mobile performance experience is essential
  • Solid client list and network of direct mobile app publishers in Germany (the wider EMEA market a plus)
  • Proven track record of strong sales achieved against revenue targets
  • Strong “hunter” mentality, driven to build new business and earn commission
  • Excellent presentation skills and working knowledge of Power Point, Excel, and Word
  • Good understanding of mobile media channels and solutions as well as the mobile market
  • Familiarity with CPI, CPV, CPM, CPC and CPA pricing structures
  • Looking to make an impact and difference in a company
  • Eager to learn and able to work with a small and nimble team
  • Proactive self-starter, ready to roll-up your sleeves to get things done
  • Fluently bilingual – English & German (additional European languages a big plus)
