A climate technology company in Berlin seeks an experienced atmospheric scientist to analyze satellite data and develop algorithms for climate monitoring. Candidates should have a PhD in atmospheric sciences and relevant engineering experience. The role involves collaboration with leadership to enhance emission monitoring services and requires strong programming and analytical skills.
As an atmospheric scientist, you will have the opportunity to join us in our mission of providing the most precise data regarding emissions measurement. We are searching for someone with the expertise and ambition to interpret atmospheric satellite data, develop and improve atmospheric models and retrieval algorithms, and to push AIRMO towards our goal.
We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated, and result driven scientist with a PhD in atmospheric sciences physics or a similar degree, experience in the interpretation of atmospheric (e.g. satellite, aircraft, …) observations using transport models, and good data analytics and computer programming skills. Experience with flux inversions is considered an asset.
You will be a trailblazer on our team, improving the interpretation of micro-LIDAR based instrument and other satellite data. Together, we will develop new methods to detect and identify sources, quantify emissions of various trace gases, and boost the accuracy of satellite data.
