Overview

Pending contract award, CGS's Assistant Project Manager (APM) will serve as the liaison between the Project Manager and all project team members to facilitate effective support services at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) in Glynco, Georgia. Our onsite APM will also serve as the alternate point of contact (POC) for Government leaders.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Duties and Qualifications:

  • BA / BS degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Criminal Justice, or similar area of study .
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and leading project plans while ensuring all activities comply with FLETC policies and procedures.
  • Possess, at a minimum, three (3) consecutive years of experience within the last five years, as a manager or supervisor in a related field of comparable magnitude (management, administrative staff, and over 100 part-time employees).
  • Previous leadership experience in a law enforcement or military training center with knowledge of FLETC's training programs, role-playing methodologies, and the principles of adult learning.
  • Effective communicator who maintains clear and effective communication with government leaders, instructors, role players, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to assist with scenario development, assign role players to scenarios, manage role player training and preparation, ensure coverage for training exercises, and coordinate schedules for both role players and trainers.
  • Experienced risk management professional who identifies risks, conducts analysis and evaluation, develops mitigation actions, monitors and makes improvements in the risk management process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
  • Ability to pass a Agency Background Check with Local Agency Checks and Inquiries (NACLC) or a more in-depth investigation.
  • Government Secret or higher security clearance .
Working Conditions

Working Conditions: Onsite at the FLETC in Glynco, GA.

Travel and Hours

Required Travel: Minimal

Work hours: 0730 – 1630 Monday - Friday (may vary based on mission requirements during rotations)
