AIT Manager (m/f/d)

Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to fulfil the role of AIT manager (f/m/d). Within your role as the AIT manager (f/m/d) at RFA your roles and responsibilities will entail the following, and you will be working within the Vehicle team.

Your Tasks
  • Manage the integration/assembly of stages and their sub-assemblies
  • Assign tasks, establish work schedules, and monitor performance; ensuring production schedules are met
  • Be the interface between workshop and engineering
  • Oversee training of the assembly technicians and manage their training matrix
  • Champion continuous improvement: Communicate and document changes from workshop to design and vice versa including quality control.
  • Provide workshop team with documents and information needed for assembly/integration
  • Support the creation and adjustments to assembly travelers.
  • Liaise with the procurement and logistics teams: ensure parts are ordered/ delivered on time and are tested according to the need date for integration
  • Support with assembly/integration of (sub-)systems
  • Support testing of components/sub-assemblies
  • Implement and enforce health and safety procedures
  • Oversee Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) of vital equipment
  • Prepare and present production reports to Head of Vehicle
Your Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Assembly Manager / Manufacturing- Production Engineer, or similar
  • Strong organisation and leadership abilities
  • Excellent hands -on skills are a necessity.
  • Experienced with using various machinery and hand tools
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Communication and interpersonal skills alongside strong problem-solving capability
  • Open to some travel to our launch site on Unst in the Shetland Islands, UK.
