A leading company is seeking a full-time Account Executive in Berlin to drive sales growth within the freight forwarding sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in SaaS sales, demonstrating strong business development skills and a consultative sales approach. The role offers a competitive OTE of up to 120K, with a supportive team focused on transitioning from marketplace sales to SaaS solutions.

Qualifikationen

  • 2+ years in BDR experience or 1+ year in closing AE role.
  • Prefer candidates not changing jobs often; minimum 2 years at previous roles.
  • Must exhibit coachable character and hunter mentality.

  • Manage full sales cycle as Account Executive.
  • Focus on lead generation with minimal cold outreach.
  • Account management to ensure growth through cross-sell and upsell.

WFH policy : At first, full-time; after ramp-up, hybrid 2/3 days in the office.

Size and functions of local team :

  • 110 people in total, 50% Product / Developers
  • Only 3 people in sales, scaling to 15 in the next year
  • New VP Sales George Britton managing and scaling the sales team
  • Full sales cycle Account Executive
  • Lead Generation: 80% of prospects already using Cargo One marketplace, minimal cold outreach
  • ICP: Freight forwarding companies SNB / Mid-market focus
  • Cycle: 40/80 days
  • Land & Expand deals from $2.5K to $35K
  • Average deal size: $5K
  • Account management for 6 months for cross-sell and upsell

Unique aspects of the company (not online):

  • New VP Sales scaling the sales team
  • Transition from marketplace sales to SaaS solutions
  • Well-established brand in the market

Must haves :

  • 2+ years BDR experience OR 1+ year closing AE role in SaaS sales
  • No job hoppers; prefer at least 2 years at previous companies
  • Character traits: coachable, energized, hunter mentality
  • Experience selling consultatively, especially SaaS solutions or POS systems

Nice to haves :

Salary range & secondary benefits :

  • 110K OTE (50/50 split for BDRs)
  • 120K OTE (50/50 split for AEs)
  • Candidates requesting 65-70K base with strong experience may be considered
