Job description
Blended Online Instructional Staff Member - Choice of Program (Remote, US)

Remote, (US)

edX, part of 2U Inc., works with respected universities and organizations to deliver innovative, skills-based training to a community of over 45 million learners around the world to support them at every stage of their lives and careers. edX delivers boot camps through an immersive learning experience with expert services and valuable resources. As of 2021, graduates have been hired by 6,700+ companies, including more than 62% of the Fortune 100.

Who we are

Trilogy Education partners with universities to offer programs in Web Development, Data Analytics, UX/UI Design, Digital Marketing, Financial Technology, Cybersecurity, Product Management, and Technology Project Management. Our platform combines a market-driven curriculum, robust career services, and a multinational community of universities, instructors, and employers to prepare adult learners for careers in the digital economy.

Trilogy Education is seeking technical professionals who have a passion for making a difference. Our students have a diverse background, from working professionals to fresh‑out‑of‑college people, who seek to transition into careers in Software Engineering, Data Analytics, etc.

Instructional Staff will have a direct hand in changing the lives of our students. You don't have to have a ton of experience with teaching! You just have to be a lifelong learner, or love to help people change their lives to succeed.

Our Blended Online program is a mixture of asynchronous and live instruction. Students in the Blended Online program access modules through Canvas, and unlock these modules as they progress through the class. Roughly 80% of the content each week is completed by the students asynchronously. This program is ideal for individuals who cannot commit to the traditional 14-hour a week time commitment of our in‑person/Live Online modalities.

Our Instructional Staff support students enrolled in University Bootcamps across the globe (Columbia University, UC Berkeley, & Georgia Tech to name a few of our partners) in the following areas:

  • Full‑Stack Web Development
  • Working with databases, server‑side languages and libraries like MongoDB, MySQL, Node, Express and ORMs
  • Version control (Git, Github) and deployment servers such as Heroku
  • Advanced Statistics with Data Analytics with Microsoft Excel and Python, Numpy, Pandas, and Matplotlib
  • Databases like SQL and MongoDB
  • Hadoop and Machine Learning
  • Financial Fundamentals in Time‑Series Analysis, Financial Ratios, and Financial Analysis
  • Python 3, Pandas, Matplotlib, API Interactions, and JupyterLab
  • Financial libraries and Tools like NumPy, SciPy, and Quantopian
  • Execution Algorithms, Monte Carlo Simulations, Risk‑Data Aggregation, Forecasting, Financial Modeling, Modern Portfolio Theory, and Logistic Regression
  • Machine Learning using Algorithmic Trading, Random Forests, k‑Nearest Neighbor (kNN), Support Vector Machines (SVM), Linear Regression, and Scikit‑learn
  • Blockchain and Cryptocurrency experience in Solidity, Ethereum, Consensus Algorithms, Transactions, Validation, Distributed Ledger, Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, and Mining

Check out the programs in more detail here.

Voluntary Self‑Identification of Disability

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
