Job summary
A popular food service provider in Edmonton is seeking a qualified individual to supervise food preparation staff. Responsibilities include training workers, ensuring food quality, and maintaining records of stock and sales. Candidates should have a secondary school graduation certificate and some experience in food service. This is a permanent position requiring 35 to 40 hours per week.
Qualifications
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in food service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff preparing food.
- Train staff in job duties and safety procedures.
- Estimate ingredients needed for meal preparation.
- Ensure food meets quality control standards.
- Maintain records of stock and sales.
- Supervise assembly and delivery of food trays.
Education
- Education : Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience : 7 months to less than 1 year
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Supervise and check assembly of trays
- Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
