Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years working in a manufacturing facility in supervisory and/or engineering and quality roles.
  • Proven supervisory experience of at least 3 years.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including shift work, weekends, midnights, and overtime as required.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint creation and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in high-speed Class-A automotive stamping and assembly manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in stamped panel quality assessment and dimensional measurement.
  • Proven expertise in production planning.
  • Demonstrated financial management capabilities, including departmental cost tracking, budget oversight, and leading cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of constraint management principles.
  • Exceptional technical proficiency relevant to automotive production
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ford Production System.
  • Highly effective communication and problem-solving abilities, incorporating Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Aptitude for collaborative teamwork.
  • Capability to lead, empower, and develop personnel.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution techniques.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain the master production schedule for all die sets required by the Stamping department.
  • Coordinate cross-departmentally to ensure production volumes are maintained at required levels.
  • Oversee Departmental Control Centre updates and metrics as well as Support Zone Control Centre activities.
  • Provide constraint analysis on production bottle necks and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Develop throughput packages and other presentations.
  • Department champion for the Ford Production System.
  • Write projects, purchase orders, and manage invoice payments.
  • Lead innovation and cost idea implementation for the department.
  • Track and report on departmental cost performance. Setup factory work orders and ensure budget is met.
  • Support Department Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, Environment, and Innovation (SQDCPMEI) initiatives.
  • Support coverage of Process Coaches and Quality/Dimensional Engineers as required.
  • Attend and report at safety meetings as required.
  • Track and schedule medicals (audio and physical) for employees.
  • Maintain manpower accuracy in Ford systems. Request changes as needed.
  • Manage manpower with off shift leads to maintain RTO and shift versatility.
  • Ensure accurate scrap description in systems for all scrap with accurate counts.
  • Rebill blank vendors for incoming quality scrap.
  • Perform administrative duties for production management system and mange any changes.
  • Organize training at other Ford stamping sites for salary and hourly team members.
