Fusion Pharmaceuticals is seeking responsible and hardworking candidates for the position of Laboratory Assistant. The role involves supporting vivarium operations and animal care to aid in radioconjugate drug discovery. This position is based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

1. Assist in maintaining laboratories, animal facilities, and equipment.
2. Support decontamination of equipment and disposal of biohazardous, radioactive, and anatomical waste.
3. Support animal studies, including weighing, labeling, area preparation, and animal handling.
4. Conduct animal welfare assessments and health checks.
5. Maintain accurate laboratory records.
6. Perform radioactive contamination monitoring.
7. Follow SOPs and work safely with biohazards, chemicals, and radioactive materials.
8. May include weekend work.
9. Perform other duties as required.

1. Recognized post-secondary education in health sciences.
2. Over 2 years of experience in laboratory animal experimentation, care, and operations; RLAT or RVT certification is an asset.
3. Highly organized with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively in English.
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
5. Proficiency with computer programs (Microsoft Office); LIMS software is an asset.
