Position Description

This position involves evaluating and managing credit risk for all clients, monitoring payment patterns, and overseeing outstanding receivables collection.

  • Overseeing the entire credit process, including cash applications, with two team members reporting directly.
  • Establishing and updating credit lines for new and existing clients.
  • Managing the process for credit order holds.
  • Collaborating with sales and customer service teams to communicate risk changes and implement effective risk control strategies.
  • Regularly interacting with clients to gather financial data and negotiate payment plans, as well as liaising with credit bureaus.
  • Engaging with insurance companies to ensure adequate coverage of accounts and adherence to payment policies.
  • Travel to other company locations as needed.

Experience

  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in corporate credit or collections.
  • Experience with credit bureaus.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in Business or a related field.
  • Required credit designation.
  • Familiarity with credit insurance processes.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and adapt priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail, with solid analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
