The Applications Development Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities :

• Manage one or more Applications Development teams to achieve established goals, including personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight.
• Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects.
• Contribute to strategy formulation for applications development and other functional areas.
• Develop comprehensive understanding of business integration to meet goals.
• Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of complex data.
• Monitor delivery of results, participate in budget management, and handle day-to-day staff management issues, including resource allocation.
• Follow essential procedures and contribute to defining standards, negotiating with external parties when necessary.
• Assess risks appropriately, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and escalate control issues transparently.
• Knowledge in C++, Python, MongoDB, Spark, APIs, Cloudera, Elastic Search is required.

Qualifications :

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Experience as Applications Development Manager and senior-level roles.
• Stakeholder and people management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards.
• Clear and concise communication skills.

Education :

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
