The role:
Contributes to the success of multiple technical projects within the Technology, Project Governance, PMO, and Reporting office across Canada and LATAM, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Responsible for executing projects on time, within scope, quality, and budget, while adhering to regulations and internal policies.
What will you do?
- Plan, design, implement, and execute bank-wide projects to advance goals, meet deadlines, and optimize resource use.
- Manage multiple projects involving technology and business lines, leading cross-functional teams, developing roadmaps, and assessing impacts.
- Support quality assurance for regulatory changes and OSFI audits by verifying compliance, identifying gaps, and ensuring controls are in place.
- Monitor assessments, evaluate industry trends, and manage risks, especially regarding delays and regulatory impacts.
- Identify and mitigate regulatory risks, oversee corrective actions, and provide guidance to project teams.
- Develop governance structures, stakeholder communication plans, and manage expectations throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and maintain centralized project documentation for audit readiness.
- Lead problem-solving, risk mitigation, and escalate issues as needed, ensuring projects stay on track.
- Manage project budgets, including funding, financial analysis, vendor management, and expenses.
- Support implementation of Data Management, Cloud, Modernization, and Transformation projects, monitoring performance standards.
- Synthesize findings, report on project status, and present recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Establish and track key metrics to measure project success.
- Promote continuous improvement and agile project management practices.
- Consider the bank’s risk appetite in daily activities and decisions.
- Maintain operational excellence, compliance, and conduct risk management aligned with bank values and policies.
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
What do you need to succeed?
- Over 5 years of project management experience.
- Over 3 years of relevant banking industry experience.
- Proven ability to manage large, cross-functional teams and projects.
- Strong presentation and communication skills for all management levels.
- Experience engaging stakeholders across all levels, including executives.
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Engineering degree preferred; formal project management education desired.
- PMP certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of Jira, Open Pages-GIMs is an asset.
