Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As the Marketing Director, Co-Brand Travel and Business & Commercial Cards, you will be responsible for leading the marketing team supporting the travel co-brand cards segment as well as for Business & Commercial credit cards. The successful candidate will be an experienced strategic marketer, an exceptional people leader with strong emotional intelligence and a strong ability to balance multiple priorities over a diverse portfolio.

What will you do?

  • Own the development of Marketing Strategy in partnership with partner, team & product partners
  • Lead a team to deliver impactful Marketing communications & tactics that drive strong acquisition across the portfolio
  • Create a culture of test & learn and data-driven decision making to deliver marketing plans focused on outcomes
  • Develop strong relationships with internal & external partners to push forward through difficult conversations to arrive at smart strategic opportunities
  • Work with direct reports to create & carry out ongoing individual development plans
  • Build a strong team culture that fosters inclusivity and belonging
  • Navigate and influence diverse stakeholders and leverage data to provide thought leadership, creating strong partnerships and drive change management
  • Establish collaborative working relationships with all partners and demonstrate the value of Marketing support across paid and owned channels
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for alignment on promotional activity that supports overall team OKRs, for example Marketing, Partnerships, and Product teams
  • Provide thought leadership to the team to develop impactful campaigns while working closely with strategic partners to achieve goals for all stakeholders

What do you need to succeed?

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder relationships within a matrixed organization
  • Strong leadership skills & passion for developing others
  • Experience in a Marketing leadership role focused on partnerships, or marketing strategy and communications
  • Strategic thinker who can work effectively across business and functional platforms and with multiple internal & external stakeholders including external agency partners
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented, strong interpersonal skills, and time management capabilities
  • A curious and creative thinker who’s not afraid to try new things and suggest ideas
  • Collaborative skills that enables work with partners to create effective outcomes
  • Analytical, detail-oriented nature with experience using data to develop marketing insights, strategies and action
  • Experience in the credit card industry would be a bonus
