The role:

Contribute to the success of multiple technical projects within the Technology, Project Governance, PMO, and Reporting office across Canada and LATAM, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Manage projects to meet goals, deadlines, quality, cost, and scope, while adhering to regulations, policies, and procedures.

What will you do?
  1. Plan, design, implement, and execute bank-wide projects to advance goals, ensuring resource and team optimization.
  2. Manage multiple projects, reflecting strategic priorities in execution.
  3. Lead projects at the All-Bank level, managing cross-functional teams, developing roadmaps, analyzing impacts, and presenting recommendations.
  4. Collaborate with the Agile & Initiative Enablement Director to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
  5. Provide leadership to Facilitators and Project Managers, aligning technical teams with project goals.
  6. Support governance structures, stakeholder communication, and expectation management throughout project lifecycles.
  7. Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and maintain a centralized repository for project artifacts.
  8. Identify and mitigate risks, escalate issues as necessary, and manage project budgets and performance metrics.
  9. Support and monitor Data Management, Modernization, Regulatory, and Transformation projects regionally.
  10. Report project status, present recommendations, and establish key performance metrics.
  11. Promote continuous improvement and agile project management practices.
  12. Consider the bank’s risk appetite in daily activities and uphold operational and compliance controls.
  13. Foster a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
What do you need to succeed?
  • 5+ years in Project Management
  • 3+ years relevant banking industry experience
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and projects
  • Strong presentation and communication skills across all management levels
  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; formal Project Management education preferred
  • PMP certification is an asset
  • Knowledge of Jira and CAPPM is an asset
