Driven by impactful, long-term projects, the aim is to enhance state-of-the-art research while integrating innovations into the company's products and services, including LLMs, RL, NLP, computer vision, AI theory and Autonomous driving.
About the job :
Lead the development strategy, technical roadmap, and key technology directions in decision-making, planning, and reasoning for intelligent systems.
Conduct and guide state-of-the-art research on AI Agents, Embodied AI, and Reasoning-enhanced LLMs.
Collaborate with internal product teams to transition cutting-edge research into production systems that impact millions globally.
Publish and present at top-tier conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, ICRA, RSS) and contribute as a thought leader in the AI community.
Foster relationships with external academic and industry experts to identify emerging trends and shape Huawei’s long-term research agenda.
About the ideal candidates :
PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related fields , specializing in decision making, reasoning, or related areas; or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated research excellence with publications in premier AI conferences , such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, ICRA, or RSS.
Deep understanding of foundational and advanced techniques in AI reasoning, planning, and decision-making , particularly in connection with large-scale models.
Proven ability to translate research into working prototypes and scalable solutions.
Experience collaborating with leading industry research labs or technology companies is highly desirable.
Practical experience building large-scale AI solutions for decision making, planning, robotics, or multi-agent systems is a strong asset.
Excellent communication skills , with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
