EXP Services Inc. is seeking an Electrical Power System Designer to join our Electrical team at the Markham, Hamilton, London, Ottawa ON office. The successful applicant will join a diverse engineering group in Central Canada with opportunities for growth and challenging work.
- Create and review coordination, grounding, lightning, arc flash, and short circuit studies.
- Coordinate electrical designs with utilities.
- Develop electrical protection systems, including protective power relay settings.
- Interact with other engineering disciplines, designers, and departments throughout the company.
- Develop working knowledge of IEEE, NFPA and other industry standards.
- Prepare specifications and technical reports.
- A Power System Designer with minimum two (2) years of professional experience, with background in protective relay coordination and arc flash analysis.
- Proficient with ETAP and SKM.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to set up, program, and oversee testing of new and installed electrical equipment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively as a team member in an engineering environment.
- Basic AutoCAD skills - capable of developing one-line diagrams and 2D drawings related to electrical power systems.
- REVIT MEP proficiency desired.
