Job summary

A community service organization is seeking Youth Justice Workers for casual positions in Timmins, Ontario. This role involves providing cognitive, life-skill, and recreational programs to youth aged 12 to 18 in conflict with the law to help prevent recidivism. Candidates should have a degree in Criminology or Social Work and strong communication skills. Bilingualism is an asset. The salary range is between $28.80 and $34.38 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering cognitive/clinical programs to youth in a structured environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of legislative acts and policies of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing programs and time management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cognitive, life-skills, and recreational programs to youth aged 12 to 18.
  • Prevent recidivism through structured interactions.
