A leading healthcare company in Mississauga is seeking an experienced professional for a role in workforce optimization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in strategic workforce planning and over 7 years of experience in global People & Culture environments. Responsibilities include enabling decision-making with workforce solutions, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and implementing global workforce strategies. This position offers a competitive salary between CAD 136,936.00 and CAD 179,728.50 based on experience.
This role is based in the Workforce Optimization (WFO) Area of Practice within our Integrated Workforce Strategies Chapter in People & Culture (P&C) and reports into the Workforce Delivery Lead. This global team is elevating the way the business is shaping Roche’s workforce. By applying data-driven, skill-based workforce solutions and acting as trusted partners in defining workforce strategies, the team unlocks the strategic potential of our total workforce (including our external workforce), navigates the evolving business landscape to proactively shape Roche’s workforce to be future-ready. This role offers you the possibility to support the development of new practices in this field, work with innovative approaches & technologies, as well as cross-functional partners, and provides you with great learning opportunities through exposure to various business areas. Our team follows a hybrid work structure where the majority of time is spent on our Mississauga campus.
You enable informed decision-making of the business with your expertise in skills, external & total workforce, and data-driven strategic workforce planning (SWP).
You support business needs from diagnosis to definition of recommendations (e.g. workforce composition set-ups, location strategies and addressing future skill needs) together with People & Culture Business Partners and our cross-functional partners (Procurement, Finance).
You support the implementation of workforce strategies around the world and connect to relevant experts in P&C.
You identify common themes across the Roche group (e.g. shared need, gaps and solutions) and actively contribute to an enterprise view on skill & workforce needs.
You successfully adopt our data-driven, skills-based, and total workforce approaches of our WFO products while advising on business needs & workforce strategies, and apply your knowledge of internal & external best practices.
You actively contribute with new ideas, feedback, and sensing to the further evolution of our current products and/or to the definition of future products for our practice.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field, with 7+ years relevant experience in global, matrixed People & Culture organizations or consulting firms.
Previous experience developing and implementing workforce strategies (within a biotech/diagnostics/pharmaceutical setting is a big plus).
You are astute in your ability to diagnose complex business problems and are equally skilled at developing actionable solutions in the areas of workforce planning, people strategies, and change management, and/or total and external workforce planning.
You have strong business acumen and experience partnering with various business areas.
You bring system thinking and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively.
You can adapt to diverse needs and navigate ambiguity, contributing to positive customer experiences and outcomes.
You effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing clear direction and facilitating decision-making.
You are known for your curiosity, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving, are highly adept in social interactions, and possess fluency in English speaking and writing.
You have an awareness of employment law, including co-employment issues

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Mississauga is 136,936.00 and 179,728.50 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors as determined by the company.
