Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Women\'s Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience working with perinatal clients and women 16-99 yrs. This role involves diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, providing comprehensive care to patients, and collaborating with psychologists on site and possible other community healthcare professionals to ensure client care and optimal treatment outcomes.

Duties
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide ongoing therapy and medication management to patients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, utilizing medical terminology effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and share relevant information.
  • Engage in data collection for treatment outcomes and program evaluation as needed.
  • Stay current with advancements in psychiatric practices and participate in continuous education.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license to practice psychiatry in Alberta.
  • Owns established business to invoice for services delivered. This is contracted service and can be done all remote or hybrid.
  • Experience and desire in working with women is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to offer support casually (onsite and/or online) in a boutique-like holistic, psychological practice focused on women\'s health concerns, especially perinatal.
  • Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and documentation standards.
