Now Hiring: Winter Sports School Lesson Coordinator – Full-time Seasonal Position
Location: Kimberley Alpine Resort, BC
Department: Winter Sports School

If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Lesson Coordinator with the Winter Sports School at Kimberley Alpine Resort.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily coordination of instructors and lessons to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality program delivery.
  • Assign daily group, private, and multi-week lessons to instructors; manage class ratios to minimize wage costs; reallocate students between groups as needed to support effective learning.
  • Monitor the quality of ski and snowboard lessons; provide on-hill support to instructors; teach when necessary due to staffing shortages.
  • Play a leadership role in staff motivation and engagement; report to the Assistant Director, or to the WSS Director when the Assistant Director is unavailable.
  • Lead safety and OH&S initiatives in collaboration with relevant committees; complete near-miss and incident reports as required.
  • Record daily instructor attendance and evaluate staff for “Fit to Work” readiness each day.
  • Confirm next-day staffing and release instructors as required by 3:00 p.m. daily, under direction of the Assistant Director or WSS Director.
  • Monitor instruction quality through on-hill observations, with focus on beginner areas; aid instructors as needed.
  • Deliver group and private lessons for guests of all ages and ability levels; ensure lessons are delivered in a safe, professional, and engaging environment.
  • Address guest concerns professionally and escalate as needed; support training programs and ongoing instructor development.
  • Ensure compliance with Winter Sports School policies, procedures, and training standards; actively support Resorts of the Canadian Rockies culture and Safety Management Systems.
  • Lead additional opportunities such as Snowshoe Tours, Fat Bike Tours, and assist with resort events as applicable.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum CSIA Level 2 or CASI Level 2 certification
  • At least 3 seasons teaching experience
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Availability on weekends and holidays
  • Strong team player who thrives in a small, tight-knit crew
Start Date

Start date: December 1, 2025 or sooner as negotiated

Shifts & Hours
  • 4 to 5 days per week
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
Wage
  • Wage Scale while working as Lesson Coordinator: $22.50 – $23.50 per hour based on experience
  • Wage Scale While Teaching Lessons (Hourly):
    • Level 1: $19.50 – $21.50
    • Level 2: $23.50 – $25.50
    • Level 3: $25.25 – $27.25
    • Level 4: $30.25 – $32.25
  • Plus: Additional pay increases when teaching lessons for years of experience and multi-discipline certifications
