Overview

The College of New Caledonia is looking for an instructor to teach in the Welding Program.

Responsibilities
  • Teach the Welding Program as part of the College of New Caledonia.
Skills & Qualifications
  • An Interprovincial Trades Qualification in the Welder trade.
  • Five years of experience working as a Journeyperson Welder in a number of industrial settings.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are current in the trade and who have recent proven teaching and/or supervisory experience.
  • The successful candidate should be able to deal effectively with students on an individual or group basis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams) is required.
  • Completion of the Provincial Instructor’s Diploma Program (PIDP) would be considered an asset.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety practices and will foster a safety-first culture with students and in the CNC community.
  • You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues.
  • You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities.
