About the Role:

As a highly-skilled Web Designer, you will be a key individual contributor in delivering impactful and industry-leading UI/UX designs for gomotive.com. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to understand project requirements, user needs, and project timelines to deliver best-in-class web experiences. Working alongside other talented web designers and brand designers, you will contribute to and maintain a consistent and evolving design language across the website.

This role requires solid conceptual and technical expertise in web design, which you will leverage to craft impactful web pages, contribute to A/B testing strategies, implement personalization efforts, design effective prototypes, and more. The ideal candidate not only has a strong understanding of UX/UI principles but is able to embrace our branding while pushing the design language forward.

What You'll Do:
  • Partner with web strategists, developers, and business stakeholders to ideate, design and implement clear and engaging design solutions across A/B tests, new landing pages, and site updates, ensuring they drive positive drive business results across the entire customer journey.
  • Take ownership of contributing to the maintenance and evolution of the website design system, proactively identifying areas for improvement and ensuring consistency and efficiency for both designers and developers.
  • Produce high-quality visual designs from concept through execution for both desktop and mobile experiences, with a strong focus on responsive design principles.
  • Leverage a strong understanding of user priorities, data, research, and insights to independently inform your design decisions, evaluating trade-offs to create effective and user-centered solutions within your projects.
  • Translate business requirements into visually appealing, engaging, and effective customer-centric designs.
  • Develop strong working relationships with business stakeholders and cross-functional partners, acting as a trusted design partner and effectively presenting your design rationale to secure project team alignment.
  • Manage a pipeline of work, proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes for greater efficiency and higher quality outcomes.
  • Work closely with developers on QA to ensure releases are up to quality standards.
What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of experience as a web designer (with experience in-house at a fast-growing SaaS/SW tech company)
  • Proven experience with responsive design and best practices for designing within those constraints
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools
  • Experience developing and maintaining modular design systems
  • Strong understanding of typography and visual hierarchy
  • Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members (Web Strategists, Project Managers, Content, Product Marketing Managers, Engineering)
  • Experience preparing design files for developers
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated and productive within a fully remote team, independently managing your workload and delivering high-quality design solutions with minimal guidance
  • Location: Remote, but must be eligible to work within Mexico or Canada
  • Portfolio: A strong online portfolio demonstrating relevant web design experience is required
