What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in math, science, engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in water resource management
  • Experience developing water balance models and designing surface water impoundments
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis of hydrological data and advising clients on mine water management strategies
  • Possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • More than 10 years of experience in consulting engineering or mining/industrial worksites
  • M.Sc. or PhD in civil or environmental engineering
  • P.Eng. registration or eligibility for immediate registration with APEGA
  • Familiarity with hydrologic modeling software such as GoldSim or HEC-RAS
  • Experience with mine closure and reclamation planning involving community involvement
