Meet NATE - Warehouse Technician

Purpose of Position:

The Warehouse Technician is a key member of the Maintenance department. Reporting to the Supervisor, Stores, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining aeronautical products, tooling, and consumable stock, as well as supporting the fleet with OTP (On Time Performance). This role involves working in a newly refurbished warehouse equipped with advanced technology such as Kardex Remstar Vertical Lift Modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily shipping, receiving, inspection, order processing, and stocking of inventory.
  • Prepare and ship parts orders to outlying bases.
  • Coordinate delivery of AOGs (Aircraft On Ground), including customs clearance of AOG parts after hours when required.
  • Issue inventory and monitor inventory levels to maintain appropriate stock.
  • Enter data into computer systems for shipments, goods received, work orders, etc.
  • File documentation as needed.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required.
  • Follow established policies and procedures, prioritizing safety for yourself, coworkers, and customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to obtain a valid AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operators’ Permit).
  • Eligibility for Restricted Area Pass.
  • Successful completion of Dangerous Goods training.
  • Knowledge of aircraft parts and common hardware preferred.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills required.
  • Strong work management, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with various departments and personnel.
  • Experience in inventory management and purchasing is an asset.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset; required in Montreal.

Training: Extensive training will be provided, including safety, dangerous goods, forklift operation, and Maintenance Information System.

Union Position: This position is unionized. Pay scales are competitive, with progressions every 6-12 months and annual increases. A Technical Premium is paid on top of the base wage for every hour worked.
